This image was created with the idea that a woman’s daily life is based on the set cultural norms which has prevented her towards self-determination. We cannot deny that a woman’s role in our society is integral in sustaining a household and in this case, water is closely tied with these issues. The woman in yellow is symbolic of the relationship between transporting water and the daily challenges, while the woman at the door is one that exudes strength and perseverance. In a sense the woman is the doorway not only to a home but also to a society. Hence, if address these issues we also gain access to resolving the road to progress in our communities.
