This image is dedicated to the environmental activists based in South America, more specifically dedicated to Berta Caceres and Honduran environmental activists who were murdered in 2016. Reading about her life and background, she embodied the strength of women, who on a daily basis around the world fight for injustices in their communities based on the conviction that women have the power to change their societies. The face painting is inspired by the Kayapo indigenous community in Brazil.
